Topic : Maintenance Process.
Media : C2
Narrative.
The
purpose of this media is to tell
something in unusual way. The teacher explains the step
to do a C2 narrative text. The teacher explains about topics, rules, and procedures. Each students must
choose 5 words related to the topic that teacher give. The
students begin to choses the five words. They have to decide related to the topics. The topics is given by the teacher. After they
finish to
make C2 narrative. Teacher asks the students to collect the 2 narrative. Then the teacher will assess the student works and creativity in making
C2 narrative.
The
objective : The
objective of the C2 narrative is to
make the student understand the other way to create narrative text and enhance
their ability in writing. C2 narrative makes student more
creative in making a narrative text which related to the topic.
Step:
- The
teacher introduces about the C2 Narrative
Text and gives a brief explanation.
- The
teacher decides the topics.
- The
student chose five words related to the topic.
- The teacher gives time to the students to create
their C2 Narrative Text.
- Students
collect their work after they finish it.
- The teacher assess the students work
and creativity in making
C2 narrative.
- The teacher evaluates the students
work and give them feedback.
Method:
This
activity is suitable with Situational Language Teaching (SLT) approach. This
method uses a teacher-center in learning process. SLT focus on the use of
grammatical and lexical gradation as the bases of new teaching material or
points. New language material or points are introduced and practiced
situationally. Material is taught orally before it is presented in the written
form.
Applying and Developing
Roro
Jonggrang’s Order
Once upon a time, in a
great palace there lived a beautiful princess. Her name was Roro Jonggrang. She
had a perfect life in the beginning, until one day her father made a deal with
a young man who known as Bandung Bondowoso. Because of that deals Roro
Jonggrang must married with him. Roro did not love him. Bandung was a cruel man
with a dark magic ability who was thirst of a position. Then Roro made a
tactics. She will accept Bandung as her husband in one condition, he must build
her a modern and beautiful vehicle
which she never saw before. Roro also gave a deadline for Bandung, that this
vehicle must be finished in a week.
Bandung became worry
about Roro’s order. He started to think, a unique vehicle which she never saw
before. Days by days Bandung thought about the vehicle. It was almost 3 days
and Bandung still had not the idea. in the fourth days Bandung used his power.
He used his dark magic to teleport all genius persons in the world and he was
success. He was summoning around 300 people with different race from around the
world. Together they got an idea to build a vehicle without a horse or man as
the motor. They started the plan. They made a design, procedure working. In the sixth day the vehicle appearance almost
done. They worked very detail. They were checking
every part form that vehicle every hour to make sure there was no mistake at
all.
In the morning on the
seventh day the vehicle was almost done. Bandung and his crew was doing some setting before present that vehicle to
the princess. The vehicle has four wheels and a big cabin inside. Its body made
from the best metal in that country. The vehicle used a machine as a motor to
substitute the horse and human power. Roro heard this news. She became worry.
She really did not want Bandung as her husband. Then in the afternoon when
Bandung and all his crew was taking a rest, Roro slipped away to their camp and
she picked some part of the machine from that vehicle.
The
time to present Bandung’s work came. That was evening. Bandung presented his
work. He explained the vehicle to Roro. When Bandung tried to start up the
machine, he was surprised. The machine did not work. He asked to his crew why
the machine did not work. Some of his crew begun to check all the part of the
machine. Roro was smile happily. She was happy that she will not married with
Bandung. The crew told to Bandung that one part of the machine was gone.
Bandung became angry. he thought of person who deceive him. One of the crew
told Bandung that he saw the princess slipped away to their camp in the
afternoon. Bandung was very angry. he asked the princess, it was true if she
was the person who picked one part of that machine. Then, Roro laughed. Bandung
could not control his emotion again, then he used all of his dark magic power
and cursed Roro became the spare part to
replace the missing one. After that the vehicle could work. Bandung use the
vehicle to come back to his home. Bandung named that vehicle as a “car” from
the word scar because Roro had given him a deep scar in his heart.
